Airport Auto Body in Hartford, Connecticut, has recently been awarded a 2023 Family Biz Award, Hartford Business reports.
The shop has been in business for 40 years as of 2023 and performs vehicle repairs as well as specialized work on some higher-end vehicles.
Recently, the shop gained two new certifications for Honda and Rivian, making it one of the few independent Rivian-certified shops in the state. The state and the mayor of Hartford have previously recognized Airport Auto Body for being the first BMW-certified independent collision repair center in the country.
Airport Auto Body plans to continue growth for the foreseeable future by potentially expanding its range of services or opening new locations. Current owner Tony Cavallaro plans to one day be succeeded by his sons, Tony Jr. and Joe, in running the business.
The shop strives to differentiate itself from others and to challenge perceptions of the industry by being “welcoming, honest and fair” and providing transparent and quality service.
