The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has encouraged those interested in gaining certifications but hesitant to take tests to explore the preparation resources they have available in a recent press release.
ASE has an infographic with “common questions and solutions” in regard to testing on its official website under the Test Taking & Prep section. They suggest it can be useful for “posting in shops or providing to service professionals.”
Anyone concerned about how much time they may have for a given test is able to see “the number of questions and allowed times for each test” within ASE study guides. ASE has also released a video on their ASE Campus YouTube channel titled “A Look at the ASE Testing Platform,” for those who may not be familiar with the interface used to take the tests.
Those whose second language is English also have the option to bring in a dictionary. Those who speak Spanish are able to press “a button on the testing interface” that will open “an English-Spanish glossary of technical terms.”
Those who feel they aren’t ready are urged to explore ASE’s study guides through their official website, as well as take the official ASE practice test online.
