SATA Launches New Paint Spray Gun

Oct. 25, 2018
SATA has launched the SATAjet X 5500 paint spray gun with an atomization system.

October 25, 2018—SATA has launched a new spray gun, the SATAjet X5500 paint spray gun.

The new paint spray gun is based on two spray fan shapes and systems: the Parallel (I-nozzle) and the Oval-shaped (O-nozzle) system. By using only one spray gun, the two different nozzle systems address the different painting styles of individual painters.

These nozzles were released to address the issue of fan height and fan width of a spray gun can, varying across different nozzle sizes. When the height and width vary, the spray pattern can become larger, smaller, wider or narrower depending on the actual nozzle size.

With the I-nozzle and O-nozzle, if one specific paint material at the same air inlet pressure is applied, the spray pattern height keeps constant over the nozzle range from 1.1 to 1.5mm.
