July 1, 2019—State Farm insurance company will close its operations center on the north side of Indianapolis and terminate nearly 100 employees at the end of August, according to a report by the IndyStarwebsite.
The Indianapolis operations center closure is part of a consolidation plan State Farm announced in May 2017. At the time, State Farm intended to exit the Indianapolis facility in 2020.
The layoffs of 97 employees are expected to be permanent, and the operations center, located at 9200 Keystone Crossing St. 200, will close as a result of the workforce reduction.
