Purolator has updated its offerings to help technicians find the right filter for a particular application in a faster and easier manner from virtually any original equipment (OE) or competitor part number. The company states that this process is eased through application data covered in the 700-plus pages of Purolator’s newly published Heavy Duty Filter Applications Catalog (PUCT209,) and the recent addition of 27,000 heavy duty cross references to the Filter Finder section of the Purolator website.
The Purolator Heavy Duty Filter Applications Catalog, which covers more applications and more types of filters than ever before, presents easy-to-follow alpha-numeric listings, making it faster and easier to identify the correct filter part number for any application. To simplify its use, all heavy duty equipment manufacturers are shown in one section – a major innovation in heavy duty filter cataloging.
“At Purolator, we are driven by our customers’ needs,” says John Enright, Senior Product Manager for Purolator Heavy Duty Filters. “Cross references are particularly helpful for identifying filters in industrial, agricultural and stationary applications, (off-highway) where the identity and heritage of the equipment may not be easily identifiable. With extensive application data and a multitude of cross references, we ensure that the user gets a quality Purolator filter and that the parts supplier identifies the correct filter easily and accurately.”
Regardless of their choice, service technicians and, in fact, anyone has the opportunity to ask the Purolator Response Office (PROs) any filter-related question and receive a personal reply via e-mail or phone within 48 hours. The Purolator PROs can answer virtually any question about filtration, from application data, dimensional specifications, media design and configuration to installation procedures, according to the company.
This free service represents the broad support programs that Purolator offers to repair facilities as well as those who distribute Purolator products.
