Collision Hub plans to broadcast AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas’s upcoming Most Influential Women and FIT Sustainability awards along with live coverage of AkzoNobel’s Sustainability Symposium from 8 to 10 a.m. MDT on July 20. “The objective of this inaugural event is to engage key industry stakeholders in constructive dialogue about what it will take to move the collision repair industry towards a sustainable business model,” said Mike Shesterkin, Manager of Sustainability and Business Process Improvement for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas. “This model needs to be one that can be quantified in ways that demonstrate a triple bottom linepeople, planet and profit.”

The MIW program was established in 1999 by AkzoNobel as an industry honorarium. The goal of the program was to promote the contributions of key leaders and grow the future involvement of a valuable resource pool for the collision repair industry. The FIT Award is the collision repair industry’s first recognition for organizations that are using business practices that meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future. This award was created to promote the leadership role and unique contributions that the collision repair industry is making to generate a more sustainable future.

“Collision Hub is looking forward to the opportunity to highlight the powerful and game- changing work being done by AkzoNobel in the Collision Repair Industry,” said Collision Hub Founder and CEO Kristen Felder. “It is also a privilege to be invited to participate in celebrating these amazing individuals and businesses that meet AkzoNobel’s high standards.”
