AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings (A&AC) released Sikkens ColorScala Pro, 2nd Edition, an upgrade on its color documentation system. It offers higher gloss paint swatches, which provide more accurate and reliable color representation, the company said.

In addition to improved color accuracy, changes in the paint formulation deliver improved durability, the company said. ColorScala Pro, 2nd Edition, is tailored to local needs with specific content for North America, EMEA, Japan, and Australia-New Zealand. It was slated for general release in April.

“Both our customers and sales force have been enthusiastic about the color accuracy of ColorScala Pro since we first introduced it three years ago,” says Ralf Schueler, marketing director, A&AC. “Now, with the 2nd Edition, we are making an upgrade in terms of quality while also adopting production methods which result in less paint and less waste to achieve in better results.

“Customers will undoubtedly notice the higher gloss swatches. Not only is the appearance better, but the high gloss is more resistant to wear and tear than the previous version.
