Gerber Collision & Glass newest SCRS Corporate Member
PROSSER, Wash. - Gerber Collision & Glass, a subsidiary of The Boyd Group Inc., is the newest Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) Corporate Member.
Among the largest collision repair operators in the U.S., Gerber Collision & Glass was founded in 1937 in Chicago, and over the years, the company has experienced consistent growth to the point that it currently employs over 800 employees in 45 service centers across six states.
Regarding why Gerber became a sponsor of SCRS, Eddie Cheskis, CEO, states, "As a multishop operator in multiple states, it is critical for us to tap into a pipeline of up-to-date information from a trusted national source. SCRS helps fulfill that need. It stays on top of industry issues with a perspective whose integrity is established. SCRS also aligns with Gerber in that we both champion the consumer and are committed to safe, quality repairs. We're looking forward to working together with SCRS and supporting their many initiatives to improve the collision repair industry."
SCRS says a working relationship with Gerber offers the association access to expertise and a distinctive point-of-view. "Gerber started as a family business and grew into a large corporation covering six states and 45 collision repair facilities, which makes them unique," states SCRS Vice Chairman Barry Dorn. "They are familiar with the needs and challenges of the individual owner-operator, while having intimate knowledge of what it takes to maintain a publicly traded multi-store operation. We sincerely appreciate Gerber's support and look forward to strengthening our relationship as 'Working Together Is the Most Important Work We Do'."
