Solera acquires German collision repair software provider

Solera Holdings, Inc. — a global provider of software and services for automobile insurance claims processing — has acquired collision-repair service and software provider UC Universal Consulting Software GmbH (UCS).

Located in Germany with more than 1,200 collision repair facility customers, UCS will join the team of Solera, active in over 50 countries across six continents.

“This purchase further demonstrates our commitment in expanding our product and service offering to our customers in the German market,” says Tony Aquila, Solera’s chairman and CEO. “This addition not only enhances our shop network, but will also allow us to provide additional value to our largest insurance company customers in the region.”

The Solera companies include Audatex, found in 47 countries including the U.S. and Canada; Informex in Belgium; Sidexa in France; ABZ in The Netherlands; Hollander serving the North American recycling market; and IMS providing medical review services.
