Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices by up to 8 percent on all of its consumer tires, which include passenger car, performance and light truck tires. The increase will go into effect March 1. There will be in-line adjustments as well, which will be announced at a later date.

“The price increase is due to the continued escalation of raw materials, as well as other costs associated with the manufacturing and transportation of consumer tires,” says Shawn Denlein, Yokohama’s director of consumer product sales. “We will continue to concentrate on utilizing the latest technologies and operational procedures to produce the best products at competitive prices.”
