The Automotive Service Association (ASA) reports that Zurich North America Commercial has renewed its agreement to provide specialized business insurance to ASA members. Zurich’s business insurance program includes coverage under its Unicover policy for property, liability, garagekeepers, commercial automobile, employee tools and umbrella, as well as separate offerings for pollution liability and employee benefits.

Zurich, a longtime ASA benefit provider, has more than 80 years of experience insuring automotive businesses. Its nationwide network of regional offices provides highly specialized and direct representation for handling claims. If a catastrophic event were to strike, Zurich’s property claim services are designed to get its customers back to normal business operations as quickly as possible, typically responding within 48 hours of a disaster.

“The renewal of the agreement with Zurich enables ASA to continue a relationship that spans more than a decade,” says John Scully, ASA executive vice president. “We’re pleased that Zurich will continue to offer the specialized insurance coverage that our members need.”

In addition to Zurich offering its insurance coverage to ASA members, Zurich will also provide ASA members access to its loss prevention bulletins. These bulletins provide business advice for owners of automotive businesses. They will be published monthly in AutoInc.’s AutoLinks, ASA’s weekly e-newsletter containing industry-related reports. AutoLinks is a free publication with subscriptions available through the “News” section on ASA’s Web site, www.ASAshop.org.

“Zurich is pleased to continue our relationship with ASA,” says Gerry Cecil, aftermarket training and business development specialist for Zurich North America Commercial’s Direct Markets’ unit. “Our relationship dates back to the early 1990s and includes our early support as Charter Governor of the Automotive Management Institute.”

The Automotive Management Institute is a provider of management education for the automotive service and collision repair industry. For more information, visit www.ASAshop.org or call ASA’s membership department at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295.
