Dec. 19, 2014—PPG Certified Master Technician Kevin Reyer has received the 2014 PPG/ASE Master Refinish Technician of the Year Award.
The presentation took place at an awards dinner on Nov. 19 during the recent National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) board of governors conference at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The award is an annual tribute to the PPG collision center technician receiving the highest score on the ASE Painting and Refinish test. Other qualities such as on-the-job excellence and community service can factor into the award. This year, 336 PPG candidates applied for the honor.
Reyer, employed by Sheboygan Chevrolet in Sheboygan, Wis., since 1988, has been an automotive refinish technician for 31 years and has established a reputation for meticulous, high-quality work.
Reyer maintains his certification through regular PPG and ASE training courses. Outside work, he serves the community as a volunteer firefighter in nearby Johnsonville.
