Sterling Autobody Centers opens new repair shop

April 13, 2010

April 13, 2010—Sterling Autobody Centers opened a new repair facility in Naperville, Ill.

Sterling acquired and renovated a former collision repair facility. The new facility includes dual drive-in and enclosed estimating bays, a professional appraiser office and visual management fixtures of the lean manufacturing tenants. The shop also features air respirator systems and plans to use waterborne paint.

The 24,000 square foot facility employs 17 technicians, according to Sterling, based in Natick, Mass.

The Sterling organization had a record year in 2009, said Nick Notte, Sterling Autobody Centers president. “It’s gratifying to see our success allowing us to fund the growth of our business in this second of several new stores planned for 2010.”
