Applications are now being accepted online for industry leaders to present seminars at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

Applications are now being accepted at www.sema.org/speakers for industry leaders to present seminars at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV. An emphasis will be on dynamic speakers with proven experience in the areas of "building a business," and "social media".

As the premier automotive trade event in the world, the SEMA Show is where manufacturers and buyers from more than 130 countries gather to grow their businesses and careers. In addition to featuring new products and trends, the SEMA Show provides the automotive industry with a single place to network in person and learn new business strategies from top experts.

"We know that participants attend the SEMA Show to grow their businesses," said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA VP of events and communications. "In addition to discovering new products and seeing the newest trends, learning about new strategies and better ways to do business is a key benefit to attending the SEMA Show."

Nearly 70 education sessions were held at the Las Vegas Convention Center throughout the week of the 2015 SEMA Show, making it convenient and easy to participate. The majority of the education sessions are open to credentialed Showgoers at no additional cost.

"The education sessions are provided to Showgoers as an added benefit and designed to give participants greater return on their investment," said Zane Clark, SEMA Director of Education. "Feedback to the program is extremely positive and we’re looking forward to creating another great program for 2016."

The emphasis for the education program at the 2016 SEMA Show taking place Nov. 1-4, 2016, is on the following topics:

• Build your Business through Personal Branding

• Help with Yelp

• Scaling Business Growth

• Hiring in the Social Era

• Best Practices for Retaining Employees

• Vehicle Building and Fabrication

• Generational Workforces

• Customer-Facing Technology

• Will Crowd-Funding Go Mainstream

• The Next Big Thing: Pinterest

• Mobile Technology for a Mobile Workforce

All speakers must focus on industry issues and not a specific company position or agenda. Applications for speaker submissions are available at www.sema.org/speakers until March 4, 2016. Speaker entries will be answered by no later than May 20, 2016. For more details, contact SEMA Education Director Zane Clark at [email protected], 909-978-6743.
