“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Y-Yard to our membership,” announced Kent Rothwell, owner of Weaver Parts and Chair of Team PRP’s national board. “Y-Yard’s exceptional growth is evidence of its long-held commitment to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and customer service within our industry. This level of excellence makes them an ideal fit with our Team PRP vision, and we are truly pleased to have them join with us.”

Y-Yard Auto & Truck is a family-owned and locally operated business with a 40-year history. Since its opening in 1970, Y-Yard has continually expanded and modernized.

Its inventory occupies more than 45 acres of Y-Yard’s 60-acre business. The business and property was originally acquired in 1956 by a rebuilder of wrecked cars, Robert Siefken. Siefken then sold the business, complete with 900 older model cars, a house trailer, a body shop, and 100-year-old barn, to its present owner, Mike Nolan, in July 1970. In 2007, Nolan stepped down as president of Y-Yard, at which time two of his four daughters stepped in as president and vice-president of the company. Moving forward under the leadership of this second generation (Kelly Roepke, President and Erin Swingler, Vice- President), Nolan is still part of the day-to-day business.

Y-Yard deals in both domestic and import parts, as well as cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. Utilizing completely computerized and up-to-date systems, the facility prides itself on its outstanding efficiency, including rapid location and delivery of requested parts.

"We can't even begin to tell you how excited we are to belong to a group of quality recyclers who operate their businesses with high expectations and standards,” said Kelly Roepke, President of Y-Yard Auto & Truck. “Knowing that together as a team, we follow the same operational guidelines and procedures is just one of the countless benefits of the group. It will be a wonderful expansion to our inventory options and availability, because at the push of a button, we will have access to millions of recycled parts, new parts and aftermarket parts, too.”

Roepke added, “We are hopeful that our 45 acres of quality, recycled parts will add as much value to the team as they will provide for us. We look forward to becoming the newest Team PRP Midwest member and are proud to add the Team PRP logo behind our name."
