Carfax Repair Advantage Program members choose to report their VIN-specific collision repair details to Carfax. Their repair information appears on Carfax Vehicle History Reports when a corresponding accident also is on the report. Membership is free.

“Carfax works with thousands of data sources to get accident reports fast,” said Ken Eagleson, vice president of Carfax. “Used car buyers and sellers also want to see subsequent repair details to help complete the story. Carfax and our Repair Advantage Program members are committed to providing consumers with vital information that helps protect vehicle values and builds confidence in their repairs.”

Carfax Repair Advantage Program members are part of an elite group of repairers who advocate for quality repairs. Nationwide, one in five vehicles are in accidents but used car buyers and sellers have limited access to information about any completed repairs. Making repair information readily-available through Carfax Reports provides a valuable service to customers and promotes reputable shops to millions of used car buyers and sellers.
