The California Autobody Association (CAA) elected Dave Picton, owner of G&R Body and Paint in Sacramento, as association president for the 2012 fiscal year.
"We are extremely excited to have Dave as the president of our association," said Dave McClune, the executive director of the CAA. "His industry experience, dedication to the growth and success of our membership, and commitment to furthering our legislative agenda make him the prefect president for the association at this time in its life."
As president, Mr. Picton will focus on several important initiatives including:
-
Proactively reaching out to autobody shops across California to encourage them to join the association;
-
Increase the number and quality of benefits that are available to association members;
-
Educate the driving public of their rights and options when they are involved in a collision; and
- Continue to promote fairness and transparency in the legislative process to ensure member shops and the driving public are aware of their options and can easily make decisions that are best for their situation.
"I am looking forward to being president and leading the CAA this year," said Picton. "We have any opportunity in 2012 to positively impact our member shops, the driving public, and the overall industry, and I will aggressively pursue these goals across a number of fronts throughout the year."
CAA is a non-profit trade association comprised of more than 1,000 individual and independent businesses within the automobile collision repair industry.
