The Hybrid Shop to Demonstrate New Hybrid Battery Pack Conditioning Method

Oct. 17, 2013

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 17, 2013—The Hybrid Shop (THS), a national network of hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) service centers, announced Thursday that its new method of battery pack conditioning for HEVs will be on full display at its booth at the 2013 NACE Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The system allows repairers to restore the power in a HEV’s battery back, rather than simlply forcing vehicle owners to replace it.

THS said the cost of battery pack conditioning is roughly a third of purchasing a replacement battery. And it can improve fuel economy up to 35 percent, depending on the condition of the battery.

THS hopes to capitalize on the growing hybrid market.
“Our goal at NACE is to educate the market and continue building our growing international dealer network of expert HEV shops with the finest reputations for technical expertise and customer service,” said Matt Curry, CEO of The Hybrid Shop.
