March 29, 2017—To address the need for plastic repair training throughout the collision repair industry, Polyvance recently received approval from I-CAR for its PR-02 Plastic Repair and Refinishing Course to count toward credit hours or Knowledge Area recognition through the I-CAR Training Alliance program.
The PR-02 Plastic Repair and Refinishing course is offered at Polyvance’s training center in Rainsville, Ala. The two-day class provides hands-on experience in skills required for bumper, headlight and underhood plastic repair. Learning objectives for the course include identification of different plastic types, removing dents from bumpers, welding tears in bumpers, repairing torn mounting flanges, and more.
North American shops interested in scheduling the aforementioned training may register online, The cost of the course is $500 per person, and students completing the course are eligible for 13 credit hours as part of the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance program.
