Polyvance offers the collision repair industry’s most extensive plastic repair training options

Polyvance has the industry’s most extensive plastic repair training options. Below are some details about its most popular courses. Students completing these courses are eligible for continuing education credits under the I-CAR® Industry Training Alliance® program.

PR-01 Intro to Nitrogen Plastic Welding – It is provided in the customer’s shop for up to three technicians per session. Each training session is about three hours long and covers five essential hands-on techniques used every day on bumper repairs.

PR-02 Plastic Repair & Refinishing Course – This is Polyvance’s advanced course on plastic repair and provides a complete understanding of the plastic bumper repair process, including dent removal, nitrogen plastic welding, headlight tab repair, filling, priming, and texturing. The course is offered monthly at Polyvance’s training center in Rainsville, Alabama.

PR-03 Headlight Tab Repair Course – This is an online, self-paced, video-based course that will teach both estimators and technicians how to identify repairable headlight tabs, how to make strong repairs to broken tabs, and how to refinish them to an OEM standard.
