Nov. 16, 2011—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) on Wednesday announced the winners of its raffle drawings conducted during the 2011 SEMA Show.
Glen Caudle, owner of Glendale Collision in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, won a CM253 MIG/MAG Welder, which was donated by Car-O-Liner.
"I couldn't believe it when I received the call," Caudle said. "I've been coming to the SEMA Show for the past four years, but I've never won anything like this. I'm so happy to have won this from SCRS, and what makes it great is I already use Car-O-Liner equipment in my shop. We can't wait to put it to work!"
"We were excited to have the opportunity to provide this promotional gift as support for the ongoing efforts of SCRS to promote a stronger, more educated collision repair industry," said Doug Bortz, national sales manager for Car-O-Liner. "Congratulations to Mr. Caudle. The SEMA Show provides an excellent venue to meet customers like him, and to share new products and ideas with our customers and industry partners. We are happy to have participated in a successful event that is so meaningful to our customers in the collision repair industry."
Larry Ziarko of Herb's Auto in Mount Clemens, Mich., won a MC30 Precision Plasma Cutter, which was donated by ELEKTRON Inc.
"This cutting tool will be great for our shop,” Ziarko said. “It's a nice addition, and with the training ELEKTRON provides I expect we'll be able to put it to extremely good use."

To become eligible for the drawing, SEMA Show attendees had to pick up a report card from the SCRS’ exhibitor booth, which listed each sponsor of its Repairer Driven Education (RDE) series. Participants had to visit each sponsor's booth exhibit, have a company representative stamp the card, and return the completed card to the SCRS booth.
"This drawing is one small way we can give back to the industry for the tremendous growth RDE has experienced this year," said Aaron Clark, chairman of the SCRS. "If the 2011 SEMA Show is any indication, the future is full of promise for collision repairers. It's a good time to be part of SCRS."
