WMABA Survey: Repairers Rate Insurance Companies

Jan. 8, 2019
The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA) opened a survey for collision repairers to rate insurance company market behaviors.

Jan.8, 2019—The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA) opened a survey for collision repairers in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington D.C., to anonymously rate insurance company market behaviors in several categories.

Utilizing a list of the largest carriers by market share, repairers will be given an opportunity to give their feedback. The survey is to provide results to collision repairers, the association and insurers, as to how they are handling claims in the mid-Atlantic region. With some insurers having specific market tactics utilized in each market, under different leadership, this may show the overall perception from the repair industry to their claims staff.

The topics include:

1.     Shop relations – claims handling

2.     Customer experience

3.     Insurer knowledge-base

4.     Overall Fairness

5.     Insurer payment for proper procedures

6.     Open comment

Surveying in previous years to gain information and insight as to the general labor rates of the market, WMABA will perform that survey bi-annually with the even years.
