Here are a few to remember:

• Look professional. Don’t clutter your website with too many colors and graphics, but don’t leave it too bare looking.
• Check spelling and grammar. To be professional it is important to edit the content on your website.
• Less is more. Make smart graphics or stick to just photos of you and your shop.

"A business cannot market itself online without a website," said J.R. Seidel, Web-Est’s director of Internet marketing.
