After a parts bill that restricted aftermarket parts use was passed in Rhode Island, the OEM vs. aftermarket part debate was reignited. Various sides made their arguments, from automakers claiming aftermarket parts would compromise OEM repair procedures to the Automotive Body Parts Association claiming the bill would give OEMs a monopoly on parts sales.
