July 11, 2017—VehicleOwnersGuide.com, a provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the collision repair market, announced the addition of Audatex to its collision EstimateReader.com web service.
The EstimateReader.com web service uses advanced artificial intelligence and pattern recognition to turn the text in collision estimates PDF files into usable files. These files can be imported into rental car, shop management, parts ordering, claims and other computer systems. EstimateReader.com has learned CCC and Audatex and is being taught to read Mitchell estimates.
The reader returns an XML file that any organization can use to access the information contained in their estimates—reducing the need for any rekeying. The XML file can easily be converted into BMS, EMS, spreadsheet or other file format that a user may require.
“We were first to market when we published the EstimateReader.com in January of this year. Since then we have been honing the process by running tens of thousands of estimates through the reader, allowing new patterns to be developed and making it more accurate. We will be publishing PDF to EMS in the next few weeks to accommodate shops/other entities that want to utilize EMS files. In addition, users of our EstimateScrubber.com portal can receive their estimate data as a part of the scrubbing process,” said Steven Siessman of VehicleOwnersGuide.com.
