Aug. 15, 2017—H&V Collision Center, an MSO in New York, will once again team up with GEICO to provide three cars to three deserving veterans during an Aug. 19 Tri-City ValleyCats game.
The 2017 donation follows a memorable donation during the summer of 2016 when H&V, GEICO and other partners teamed up at a ValleyCats game for a donation of three cars to three veterans.
The vehicles donated on Aug. 19 will be the 18th, 19th and 20th vehicles donated by H&V. Last month, H&V and partners donated a refurbished van to the Vet House in Albany.
The donation of the three vehicles by H&V and GEICO will take place at the ValleyCats game the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19. The event will start at 4:30 p.m.and the reveal of the vehicles will take place during the game, with fans in attendance.
H&V has supported a number of causes and organizations to support veterans in recent years, and employs a number of veterans at the seven H&V facilities throughout the Capital Region and Hudson Valley. H&V has been recognized by local veteran organizations for their support of veteran causes.
“All of us at H&V Collision Center, GEICO and other partners recognize the enormous service by our veterans and their families. H&V is proud to be able to join with our partners for this important donation to help three veterans following their service to our country,” said H&V’s Vartan Jerian Jr.
“These donations show our veterans that their service is appreciated, respected and remembered. Last year was a great and moving event, and all of us at H&V are looking forward to the donation on August 19,” added Jerian.
The donation process takes months. H&V crews work with GEICO and other partners to select and refurbish vehicles to high standards before the donation.
Along with the donation of the vehicles, H&V has joined as a sponsor of the ValleyCats for the 2017 season of the Penn League Class A franchise. H&V is sponsoring the Mayor’s Race, featured during the seventh inning of every ‘Cats home game.
