By the time you read this, the much-hyped 2014 NACE & CARS Expo and Conference in Detroit will be in the books.
The FenderBender crew will be catching up after a week in the Motor City spent meeting with manufacturers, tool and equipment representatives, shop owners and other industry professionals. We’ll have produced dozens of videos, photos and news stories. We’ll finally have a sense for whether the maligned show succeeded in its attempt at a rebirth. And, hopefully, we had some fun along the way.
If you missed NACE this year, don’t fret. All of our comprehensive coverage from the event is still available at fenderbenderlive.com. Take a look and let us know what you think.
Our goal with FenderBender Live, now in its fourth year, is to bring the industry’s biggest events straight to you. It’s a big undertaking that takes the entire editorial team away from producing the magazine for a week and gets them in front of a video camera. It’s a fun change of pace, but it’s also a lot of work and we want to be sure that it’s serving you. If there’s a way we can do that better, be sure to drop me a note.
And be sure to tune in to the site again in November, when we head out to the SEMA Show.
Shifting gears a bit, this month you’ll find a new name in the masthead—staff writer Tom Kaiser. Kaiser brings a wealth of business reporting experience coupled with a passion for the automotive industry. It’s a great combination that should help us produce even more valuable content to help you grow your business. He’ll be doing a little of everything and is eager for industry conversation, so don’t hesitate to reach him at [email protected].
