CARSTAR gave its Rookie of the Year award to Carlos Guzman, according to a press release.
The Rookie of the Year is given to new and/or growing CARSTAR franchisees. To qualify, businesses must be in their first ten years with CARSTAR, completed CARSTAR immersion, and enthusiastically embraced the CARSTAR culture with active participation.
Guzman is a San Antonio, Texas-based entrepreneur who started with CARSTAR in 2017, and first entered the industry over 20 years ago as an auto body technician.
Since opening his first location, Guzman has expanded to three additional stores, and now owns CARSTAR Superior Collision 90W, CARSTAR Superior Collision Broadway, CARSTAR Superior Collision Natalia and CARSTAR Superior Park Village.
The Rookie of the Year award was presented at the Driven Brands U.S. collision repair joint conference, running September 28 through 30 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida. The award presentation took place during a gala event where Abra, CARSTAR, and Fix Auto USA franchise partners were present to celebrate the occasion.
