A $1.47 million real estate deal has cleared the way for a Rochester, Minnesota auto body shop to move into a bigger facility for the first time in over four decades, Yahoo News reports.
A group of local investors purchased the former Bob's Auto Body Inc., a multi-parcel property located at 215 Fifth St. NW. It was sold by Nancy Dietzler, whose family had owned it since 1994.
This has cleared the way for Rossi Auto Body, located at 524 Fourth Street SE for over 40 years, to move into the bigger facility. The former building is expected to be demolished to make way for potential development along Fourth Street Southeast.
Work is currently underway for the business to move into the new building. Rossi Auto currently employs 10 individuals but is considering adding another following the move, with the store expected to open sometime in August.
“We're looking forward to it,” said Rossi Parts Manager Carrie Friese. “It will be much larger than what we're used to. Also we will all be combined into one building.”
