Chantilly Auto Body’s focus on training, community activism and shop excellence have earned it the title of the 2015 ABRN Top Shop.

Located in Chantilly, Va., the six-location shop has been in business for 25 years. Across its 30 bays, owners Nedal Khatib and Ryan Roberts encourage I-CAR training and are focused on keeping their shop up to speed with alternative materials.

“As a Ford certified shop, we are putting a great deal of emphasis on aluminum training right now,” said Rob Ellison, business development manager for Chantilly Auto Body Group.

The annual ABRN Top Shops Contest is way for the magazine to recognize outstanding shops in the industry. The contest was revamped in 2015 to honor one Top Shop and highlight the strengths of other selected entrants. In the past a winner and nine runner-up shops have been selected.

Chantilly Auto Body will be highlighted in the December 2015 print issue of ABRN, which will also include multiple articles on shop best practices. These articles will feature the stories of other selected contest entrants. You can read more on Chantilly Auto Body by clicking here.

Chantilly’s forward thinking on marketing and social media involvement helped it stand out from other entrants.  “We put a great deal of effort into social media marketing and other web techniques to drive traffic to our site. From our site, we have a call to action for estimate requests where we will connect with them and provide an estimate at one of our shops, at one of the 10 local car dealerships or at a reasonable place of their choosing,” Ellison said. “We employ field estimators that are based in the service lanes of the local car dealerships, where we act as their collision center.”

Chantilly has also begun advertising on Yelp, an online review site, with written and video information available. “We are also very active in reputation management and put a focus on taking action from our customers’ feedback. We also post verified customer feedback from CCC ONE on autobodyreview.com,” Ellison said.

Community involvement and support is also a priority for Chantilly. “We are very active in supporting the local school system surrounding our shops. What began as a simple donation for a banner in a high school football stadium has evolved into multi-year, multi-thousand dollar sponsorships in eight local high schools to be used for athletics and the arts programs in the schools,” Ellison says. “We are currently working on partnerships and internships for the collision repair programs in two of those schools.”

“Chantilly Auto Body puts a priority on customer service, education, continued growth and creative marketing, all of which are so important to the success of shops today. Owners Nedal and Ryan work in partnership to bring the best end product they can to their customers today while still remaining focused on what they need to do to remain successful tomorrow and into the future,” said Krista McNamara, Content Channel Director with ABRN Magazine. “They’ve made smart partnerships to further their business and do all they can to bring convenience and quality to the customer.”
