McMurtury fished one spot for four days, catching 165 bass. He finished with 20 bass going 69.53 pounds with a 5.2-pound kicker. For the win, McMurtury collected $100,000 from American Bass Anglers plus an extra $10,000 check from Federated Auto Parts and East Penn.Anglers in the 2010 Weekend Series were eligible for great prizes from Federated at the national championships if they used a Federated marine battery in their boat. The grand prize of $10,000 was awarded to the highest-placing finisher using a Federated battery.
