Counter Intelligence: Tips for selling ignition system components

According to the latest data available, the total parts aftermarket for ignition-related products is expected to decline 0.3 percent, which is lower than the unit shipment decline of 4.8 percent.

According to the latest data available, the total parts aftermarket for ignition-related products is expected to decline 0.3 percent, which is lower than the unit shipment decline of 4.8 percent.

Because of ignition system advancements, maintenance intervals will increase; however, the dollars will remain constant or slightly decrease because products like individual “coil-on-plug” or specialized sensors and parts cost more than the traditional ignition products, like caps and rotors.
