As Memorial Day approaches,

the nation’s military veterans and active personnel free
oil changes or a $25 gift certificate to be put towards
repair work or maintenance service to honor their
dedication to keeping the nation safe.
In observance of the May 30, 2011 Memorial Day, active
military members as well as veterans who visit their
local Honest-1 Auto Care location between
May 23 and June 4 will receive a gift certificate for
their choice of either a free oil change or $25 off
their next service or repair work. To receive a
certificate from the shop, military personnel simply
present an Active, Retired or Dependent military ID card
or DD214 discharge certificate.
To bring the message home even harder, each of Honest-1
Auto Care’s 22 locations nationwide has mailed 300 gift
certificates, a grand total of 6,660, to veterans in
their database inviting them to come in for a free basic
oil change and filter. The offer represents a value of
$34.95.
“We believe it’s important to honor and remember the men
and women who have fought or are currently fighting to

can do to repay them for their service is to offer them
a free oil change or a significant discount on their
