Federated Auto Parts and Standard® brand are proud to
announce that Dale Reed of Reed Tire Center, Stanley, Va. is
the grand prize winner of the second annual "Dream Car
Sweepstakes" promotion for authorized Federated
counterpersons and professional technicians.
Reed received an all-expense paid trip for two to the Mecum
High Performance Car Auction in Kissimmee, Fla., which took
place Jan. 26-30, 2011, at the Osceola Heritage Park, and
$15,000 to spend on his dream car. Reed purchased a very rare
Barracuda Gran Coupe and a 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS396. As a
special surprise, Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace were on hand
to meet Reed and check out his new rides.
“We would like to congratulate Dale and thank Standard for
their sponsorship of the ‘Dream Car Sweepstakes’ promotion,”
said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “We had great
participation in the program and our customers and
counterpeople really liked having the chance to see if they
could win their dream car. Federated and Standard have had a
tremendous relationship for many years and we hope to
continue to partnership on more great promotions like this
one in the future.”
When counterpersons sold 25 oxygen sensors, fuel injectors or
ignition coils, they received a $50 Visa® gift card and one
entry into the grand prize drawing. Technicians needed to
purchase 10 oxygen sensors, fuel injectors or ignition coils
from an authorized Federated distributor to receive a $50
Visa gift card and one entry into the grand prize drawing.
Five second-place winners received an Apple iPad and 10
third-place winners received a Dell Inspiron Laptop.
The Standard® brand has earned a reputation for delivering
quality components that exceed all expectations. The flow
