As daylight savings ends, TRICO once again supports the aftermarket channel's efforts to promote the safety benefits of regular vehicle maintenance through the company's semi- annual "Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades" campaign.

This twice-annual initiative to remind drivers of the value of increased visibility is especially relevant this year as state and local governments rush to enact legislation that penalizes distracted driving.

"With winter around the corner, driving safety and preventive vehicle maintenance are top of mind with consumers," said Kevin O'Dowd, Global Director of Marketing, Corporate Branding and Strategy for Trico Products. "Our promotion of the 'Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades' campaign helps to set the stage for retailers and installers to recommend products and services that increase the safety of their customers."

TRICO recommends that drivers install new front and rear wiper blades every six months, no matter how often the wipers are used. Sun and heat weaken the rubber wiping elements on blades, and repeated freezing and thawing, heavy snow, sleet and slush exert further stress, leaving blades especially susceptible to failure.

For over 90 years, Trico Products has been one of the world's largest manufacturers of wiper blade products and systems with major operations in Asia, Australia, North America, South America and the European Union.
