Don and Lisa Frantz, owners of Frantz Automotive Center in Cary, N.C., will have great seats for an upcoming NASCAR race. The couple will serve as grand marshals for the TECH-NET Auto Service 300 Powered by CARQUEST at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 29, 2010.
The Frantzes will deliver the most famous words in motorsports, "Gentlemen, start your engines!" Forty-three NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series drivers will line up to hear their command on Memorial Day weekend. NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano will battle against Nationwide Series regulars Justin Allgaier, Brendan Gaughan, and Steven Wallace for 300 miles on one of NASCAR’s most famous and fastest speedways.
Mike Bliss is the defending race champion and Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne won in 2008 and 2007, respectively.
The Frantzes will also attend the pre-race driver’s meeting and will be in victory lane to celebrate with the eventual race winner.
“We are thrilled to be asked to be the Grand Marshals for the Tech-Net Auto Service 300 and to be a part of the NASCAR weekend in Charlotte,” Don Frantz says. “We can’t thank CARQUEST enough for this incredible opportunity.”
Frantz Automotive Center also is one of Motor Age's Top Shops for 2009.
