Kumho is increasing its marketing efforts this year with a heightened presence on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The “Kumho Tire” fanpage on Facebook allows existing and potential customers to get updates on upcoming new products, insights about the company’s motorsports activities and drivers, plus exclusive access to contests and giveaways to further drive tire shoppers into retailers’ showrooms.

“Many of our loyal fans are already active users of Facebook and other social media sites, so it was just a natural extension for Kumho to join and be a member of this thriving community,” says marketing vice president Rick Brennan.

The company is also leveraging YouTube’s popularity by posting numerous videos featuring its high performance tires, “the Kumho Girls” and TORC Series drivers such as Ricky and Luke Johnson.

“Our goal is to reach valued consumers that are passionate about Kumho Tire, about cars and motorsports and about life and show them how Kumho fits their lifestyle,” Brennan reports.

“By focusing our efforts on the web and online video, we are in essence reaching our loyal enthusiasts on a more personal and relevant manner and inspiring our fans to spread the word about Kumho Tire,” he adds.
