Michelin was recently featured on the “Designing Spaces” national television show offering advice on the ways ecologically friendly tires can make a difference as part of the program’s “Think Green” segment.

The episode aired on earlier this month on both the Women’s Entertainment Network and The Learning Channel.

“Up to 20 percent of the energy needed to operate your car is directly related to the tires,” says Rob Cunningham, brand category manager at Michelin North America. “And with certain tires, like the Michelin HydroEdge, consumers can save money at the pump and extend the life of their tires while making a smart investment for both the wallet and the environment.”

The segment educated viewers on the benefits of tires that are engineered for low rolling resistance, and therefore lower CO2 emissions, such as those branded with Michelin’s Green X label.

“Designing Spaces” is a half-hour series that inspires viewers to “make every space count” while instructing them on “the smartest ways to make their homes more beautiful and functional.”
