The Automotive Service Association (ASA) announces its most recent new chapter agreement, ASA-Central New Mexico, and the launch of the chapter’s Web site.

The Central New Mexico chapter was established to provide additional services, networking opportunities and a legislative voice in New Mexico. The chapter will represent ASA members in Santa Fe, Belen, Cedar Crest, Albuquerque, Los Lunas and Rio Rancho.

“ASA has a strong member base in Central New Mexico and the establishment of our newest chapter will provide additional value to those members,” says B.J. Johnson, ASA’s vice president of membership services. “Chapter leaders are dedicated to advancing the industry and association through networking opportunities and legislative activities. Providing these types of opportunities is at the heart of what ASA is and represents. We commend the volunteer leadership for their commitment to the membership.”

As a formally recognized chapter of ASA, members will have a unified voice in the automotive service and repair industry to further the success of member-businesses in the central New Mexico area.

“We are looking forward to many positive developments as a result of formalizing the ASA of Central New Mexico Chapter. We all know that there is strength in numbers,” says Jim Maddox, owner of Jim’s Automotive, Albuquerque, N.M., and chapter president. “And with the launch of our new Web site, we will be able to provide ongoing communication of our chapter activities. With the use of local, well-placed advertising we will be able to increase public awareness of what ASA-CNM is and what we do for the community, which will in turn bring more customers to ASA shops in the area.”
