There's still time to make the most out of Fall Car Care Month. The next few weeks could provide a boost to your business, as the final quarter of 2008 gets under way.
Point-of-sale kits, newspaper ads and hosting events are some ways you can inform your customers about Fall Car Care Month, but showing a little creativity can go a long way.
Start with the Car Care Guide. You could take the tips offered in this handy booklet and create a tip of the day calendar to give your clients. Making the calendar for November and giving it to clients this month will keep the spirit of Car Care Month going. Another idea is to offer contests for anyone who can guess the correct answer to a trivia question based on information in the Car Care Guide. You could run the contest in your local newspaper or have it displayed in your shop's waiting area. By answering the question (or questions if you'd like) correctly, your customers could win 10 percent off their next service, or a discount on a checkup. That way, you're also illustrating the importance of preventive maintenance.
Finally, you can round out this month by offering daily specials based on tips in the Car Care Guide. For one week, you could offer a lighting and wiper special, brake special, belts and hoses special, emissions special...you get the picture. Advertising this ahead of time could help fill your bays.
