Kim joined parent-firm Kumho’s original equipment division in 1986, working in a variety of sales positions throughout the Middle East and Europe. Most recently, Kim was responsible for doubling sales while serving as an executive at Kumho Tires Latin America.
In his new capacity, Kim will be based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., where he will oversee Kumho’s U.S. operations.
D.H. Ham, who was previously president of Kumho Tire U.S.A and CEO of Kumho Tire North America, continues as CEO for North American operations encompassing the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Established in 1960, the Kumho Tire Co. is based in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, Kumho Tire U.S.A is the company’s American distribution unit. In addition to its 830,000-square-foot HQ and central distribution facility in Rancho Cucamonga, the firm has four additional distribution centers in Atlanta; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; and Dallas.
