Transamerican Auto Parts Co. has selected Schiefer Media, Inc. as its advertising agency for the company’s 4 Wheel Parts retail chain.

Schiefer will work with 4 Wheel Parts to manage media strategy and ad campaigns. “The relationship between the consumer, media and retail is always interesting, says Schiefer CEO James Schiefer. “We are excited about the opportunity to work with the nation’s largest distributor of 4x4 parts and accessories to continue to advance this relationship with measurable results.”

“We first hired Schiefer Media to develop our Off-Road Adventures television series,” reports Greg Adler, president and CEO of 4 Wheel Parts. “Even though there were quick timeframes and tight guidelines, Schiefer delivered,” he adds. “I look forward to continuing this relationship in an agency capacity for our stores. Schiefer’s level of research, implementation and analysis is at the top of the ranks in our industry.”

Headquartered in Orange County, Calif., Schiefer was established in 1985.

With 63 stores in 42 markets across the U.S., 4 Wheel Parts has served off-road and 4x4 enthusiasts for more 40 years.

Founded in 1961 and based in Compton, Calif., parent firm Transamerican provides parts and accessories for light trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and other four-wheel drive vehicles. The company sells tires and wheels, suspension systems and drive trains among other products. It also markets to more than 4,000 wholesale customers, including tire and wheel stores, specialty auto parts stores, repair and garage shops, internet retailers and jobbers under the Transamerican Wholesale name and to consumers and businesses through mail order and Internet operations under the 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers banner. It also has a manufacturing operation that sells tires and wheels, suspension systems and accessories under the Pro Comp brand name through the company’s own distribution channels and through third parties.
