With the 2008 Recaufair Tire Show underway this week in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) is exhibiting with the U.S. Commercial Service and the Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) at the May 5-8 event. Acknowledged as the largest tire show in Latin America, the exposition’s organizers are anticipating 10,500 domestic and international visitors. The retreading, recycling, commercial and service sectors are the focus, and the conference will also feature lectures on markets, technology, environment and social responsibility. “With TIA being the world’s leading authority on tires, and with Recaufair being South America’s premiere exposition on tires, we see our presence at this event as a natural fit,” says Roy Littlefield, TIA executive vice president. “TIA has historically had strong ties to South America and we are looking forward continuing those relationships and working more closely with the U.S. Commercial for the benefit of our members,” he notes.
