Bogi, SKF share tips on customer communication in newest video in series

Nov. 7, 2015
SKF and All Girls Garage host Bogi announced a new video in their partnership series that focuses on helping shops communicate with customers.

SKF has announced a new video as part of its online series featuring master mechanic Bogi, owner of 180° Automotive in Phoenix, Ariz. and co-host of Velocity’s hit show, “All Girls Garage.”

The free videos on SKF’s YouTube channel – skfpartsinfo.tv – provide product overviews, installation instructions and tips for shop owners and automotive technicians.

“SKF has been working with Bogi to provide helpful information on automotive parts to shops and their customers,” said Brian Jungmann, Automotive Communications Manager, SKF. “The latest video will help shops explain automotive issues to customers, increasing productivity and profitability as well as customer satisfaction.”

In the new video, Bogi shares steps for understanding a customer’s automotive issue and explaining solutions. Bogi advises shop owners to ask the right questions during a write-up, request a vehicle history and take the car on a test-drive with the customer to make sure the correct issue is repaired.

“As a shop owner, I know that it sometimes can be difficult explaining to a customer what’s going on with their vehicle,” said Bogi. “Taking the time to slow down, ask questions and explain repairs in plain English goes a long way in building that relationship.”
