Hertz Corp., CARSTAR partner to launch vehicle rental program

April 12, 2010

April 12, 2010—Hertz Corp. and CARSTAR launched a new vehicle rental program across the CARSTAR network.

The program enables Hertz to stage vehicles at CARSTAR locations and replenish the on-site inventory daily based on each shop's rental car requirements. Hertz also offers options for on-site rental personnel support and retail franchises to CARSTAR owners under qualifying circumstances, according to Hertz.

CARSTAR, which has a customer satisfaction rating of more than 97 percent throughout its shops in the U.S., says dissatisfaction with vehicle rental has been responsible for 25 percent of its shops’ unfavorable ratings.

“Both Hertz and CARSTAR have a mutual and unwavering commitment to improving consumer experiences,” said Robert Stuart, Hertz senior vice president of global sales. “Through the out-of-the-box thinking and true spirit of our partnership, we are rewriting the role of vehicle rental in the collision repair process. And, already, we are seeing an increased level in customer satisfaction.
