Feb. 17, 2011 — The Collision Repair Education Foundation developed a new website to help secondary and post-secondary collision students and instructors access scholarship and grant information, foundation news and other resources.
The site, collisioneducationfoundation.org, allows users to download forms, such as scholarship applications, and also highlights donors and the programs they support.
“The initial response from school instructors on the new web site has been great,” said Scott Kruger, the foundation’s executive director. “We have heard that instructors can quickly access information about available scholarships and grants, download applications, and view what companies are supporting the future of the industry through their donations.”
The foundation has supported collision repair education programs for 20 years through curriculum development, sales and support, and scholarships and grants. The organization’s curriculum and training functions were transitioned to I-CAR in 2008, allowing the foundation to focus on philanthropic work. Since then, it has provided more than $3 million through donations to support the industry.
