October 4, 2010—Almost every major car dealership reported an increase in sales from 2009.

• Chevrolet, Buick, General Motors Corp., Cadillac combined: 22 percent increase
• Subaru: 47 percent increase
• Volkswagen: 14.9 percent increase
• Chrysler Group: 61 percent increase
• Ford: 21 percent increase
• Mercedes-Benz: 22 percent increase
• Kia Motors: 12.3 percent increase
• Toyota: 20.5 percent increase
• Nissan North America: 25.6 percent increase
• Hyundai Motor America: 20 percent increase
• Mitsubishi: 5.3 percent increase
• Mazda: 9.1 percent increase
• American Honda: 3.7 percent increase
