5W Collision Repair Donates $10,000 to Charities

June 27, 2014

June 27, 2014—5W Collision Repair in Denton, Texas, announced Thursday that it will donate $10,000 to local Veteran services as part of its “CaRetailing” initiative.

5W started the program in March, and now donates $100 from every repair to charitable causes—at least half of which will go to a Veteran's organization.

“We call the concept CaRetailing, meaning that we should Buy from People who Care,” said Michael Cheves, 5W Collision, chief spiritual marketing officer.

The shop holds a monthly event to award the donations. For June, the shop donated $3,000 to the Texas VFW Foundation in Dallas and $7,000 to the Texas Woman’s University Veteran Center in Denton.

The company credits its social contributions to the shop’s recent success. It was operating at a loss when it started the initiative in March, and has since increased revenue 512 percent, according to a press release.
