Timken sales engineers provided advanced technical training classes for more than 4,000 commercial vehicle technicians and maintenance professionals in the U.S. and Canada during 2012.

The Timken Company has announced Timken sales engineers provided advanced technical training classes for more than 4,000 commercial vehicle technicians and maintenance professionals in the United States and Canada during 2012.

"As experts in metallurgy, friction management and power transmission, we are committed to sharing substantial product knowledge with our commercial vehicle customers," said Dan Humphrey, manager of Timken commercial vehicle aftermarket sales in the United States and Canada.  "Distributors and fleet operators routinely tell us training by manufacturers is crucial to the education of their employees. Our goal is to improve customers' on-the-road performance, while helping them achieve the greatest benefits from our products."

At industry events and customer locations, Timken associates invest extensive time and resources to train dealers, distributors, fleet technicians and other industry professionals. Timken training programs include group and individual training on a wide range of topics, including bearing adjustment, handling, installation and damage analysis.
