Aftermarket Audio Suppliers will have the opportunity to participate in a Webinar sponsored by the Automotive & Transportation Group at Frost & Sullivan on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. The quarterly event is titled "Sideswiped: Aftermarket Audio Suppliers Fight to Grow an Industry Increasingly Being Taken Over by OE Audio Suppliers."

According to the company, consumer interest in automotive original equipment (OE) audio offerings is increasing, causing the industry to become much more dynamic and promising big changes as it moves forward. Consumer demand to integrate various technologies are being answered by traditional audio suppliers, whose products have become pivotal to vehicle functionality and marketing value.

"Aftermarket audio manufacturers have begun to address an opportunity previously covered by an increasingly weak aftermarket segment," says Phillip Roman, a research analyst with Frost & Sullivan. "The result is a dramatic adoption of OE technologies, particularly to integrate emerging technologies, such as compressed audio players, satellite radio, G.P.S. navigation and video capabilities. The end result is an industry trying to reinvent itself quickly, and a war of market shares between various competitors."

Highlights of the briefing include an analysis of audio systems added value, emerging technologies, marketing and production issues, as well as a bird's eye view of the future of the industry. The briefing will benefit audio component and vehicle manufacturers, and will focus on marketing insights and the state of the industry.

Those interested in participating in the interactive Webinar should send an e-mail to Vanessa Quezada, corporate communications, with the following information: your full name, company name, title, telephone number, e-mail address, city, state and country. Registration details will follow, upon receipt of the above information.
